This Privacy Policy explains how Communitech Labs Limited ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use Swaplyst.
When you create a Swaplyst account we collect: your name, email address, profile photo (optional), location (city level), the skills you offer and want to learn, and any opportunities you create or apply for. For organizations, we additionally collect the legal entity name and verification documents.
We also collect technical data automatically: device type, IP address, app version, and crash reports. We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for product improvement, with consent where required.
We use your data to operate the service (matching, messaging, notifications), to verify organizations, to comply with legal obligations, and to improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.
We rely on: contract performance (to provide the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the product), consent (for optional analytics and marketing), and legal obligation (where required).
We share data with: (a) other Swaplyst users when you match or message (limited to profile and conversation content); (b) service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, analytics, email); (c) authorities where legally required. All providers are bound by data processing agreements.
We keep your account data while your account is active and for up to 12 months after deletion (for fraud prevention and legal compliance). Aggregate, anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely.
Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email hello@swaplyst.com to exercise any of these rights. We will respond within 30 days.
Swaplyst is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong unique password and notify us at hello@swaplyst.com if you suspect a breach.
We are based in the Abu Dhabi Global Market and use service providers in the EU, UK, and US. Where data leaves your jurisdiction, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
We will notify users of material changes to this policy via in-app notice or email.
